A Forum for Chattanooga FC Fans

Chattahooligan.com is an unofficial forum for fans of soccer in Chattanooga and its surrounding region. The majority of content will focus on the Chattanooga Football Club (CFC), the city’s semi-professional soccer team: the games, the plays, the players, the officials, the coaching and other related topics. Some entries and discussions may address the soccer community at-large in Chattanooga or soccer events throughout the US and the world, but these will be far less frequent than entries about the CFC.

On the Term “Hooligans”

While we are well aware that the term “hooligans” has many negative and violent connotations to football fans in Europe and especially the UK, we would like you to remember that we are in the US of A, where the term “hooligan” has no such meanings. Ask any American and they will find the term silly and old fashioned, and equivalent with terms like “rowdy“, “ruffian“, “rascal” or even “scoundrel“… We use the term to mean “rowdy Chattanooga fans“.

(And it helps that it sort of rhymes with “Chattanoogans” too.)
