Some crazy news:
A little birdy has told us that the NPSL Southeast Division has drummed up five teams (as many as last year), so that there will again be 4 regular season home games for Chatt FC. The big shocker is that – after Atlanta’s Saturn FC went away and Nashville’s NPSL team never materialized – Tulsa, Oklahoma’s NPSL team got placed into our division! Huh? Wha? Beg your pardon?
Last we checked our maps, OK did not quite fit into the Southeast region of the USA.
Ok, ok, ok, we can understand that there might not be any other NPSL teams in Tulsa’s region, and we are grateful to avoid having fewer home games than last season… but come on! According to Google Maps, that’s an 11 and a half hour drive! How on earth can any team making a trip like that be expected to win? The only way is if you could afford several days of hotel stays to spend a day driving there, a day for the game, and a day driving back. That ain’t gonna be cheap for 26 players and coaches…
Maybe we’re off here at Chattahooligan central, but this sounds pretty crazy to us. We’d like to know what the players and coaches think.

I totally agree. I would HATE fewer games, but COME ON: Tulsa, OK!!!!!!! Not much time in between games when you have to leave about 3-4 days before game. Also that would cost a lot so hopefully CFC can afford it. I hadn’t heard about Saturn FC. Surprising! They were good competition too.
