Countdown to Season (home) Opener

So if you braved the dreary rains yesterday to watch Chattanooga FC scrimmage against Carson Newman, you would’ve seen a pretty impressive performance with CFC looking strong and winning about 6-0 or so… Granted, it is not an even match – but that is what we should hope for as our team prepares for the season…

Less than one month to the first game away at Atlanta FC on June 22, and barely over a month away to our season home opener against international guests, FC Atlas. No doubt the coaching staff is concerned about being ready for some tough competition, and it looks as thought they are scheduling as many scrimmages and practices as they can until then…

Look in on CFC as they scrimmage Sewanee on Monday and especially on Saturday as they play our neighbors from the USL’s PDL, the Nashville Metros. Saturday should provide some good competition and a game like atmosphere – so pop on by and check it out.

Let’s go Chattaboogie!

  1. You mean May 22 for the game at Atlanta FC!!

  2. Aha! Right you are Matt — while we do mean season "HOME" opener, the worst thing the team could do would be to overlook the Atlanta FC game… that game is no guarantee at all…

Speaking of which, can we rally a group to travel to that game?

  3. I would be willing to help get a shuttle or bus if we can rally enough folks to Atlanta on May 22! Let me know.
