The Chattahooligans dropped by for an hour and a half of the several hour Chattanooga FC tryouts, and we were quite pleased by what we saw from the group of guys out there. We don’t have much time to elaborate on this post (and its probably unnecessary for a tryout) but there was easily a great group of 18-22 players there. The coaches will have a difficult time narrowing down come season opener…
The CFC twitter feed said there were 15 countries represented in the group, we can’t confirm that just based on sight, but if its true, it is really cool!
Lastly, watching some of the fellas from last year’s team (like Ivan Heredia, Luis Salazar and Irvin Espinal) we wondered if CFC could do more in the offseason to help the non-college players keep up their fitness? These guys are probably working jobs and not playing enough soccer at this level. They could use that extra step come summer…
Anyone else get out in that bitter cold to see the tryouts? What did you think?
