Some unsubstantiated rumors The Chattahooligan has heard regarding this season:
- Head Coach Brian Crossman and Assistant Coach Jimmy Weekley are returning
- Last year’s goalie Richard Masters (the man of “The Save” against RCU) will not be returning due to a bad hand injury
- Omar Cooke and Fynn Glover may be trying out for real pro teams (maybe even some in Europe) and may not be back for 2010
- Some guy who once played for the Chicago Fire is trying out
- Two players from Wake Forest University (ranked #3 last fall) might try out
- A Brazilian is among potential players trying out
- The NPSL might be trying to get connected to the newly formed NASL as its player development league
- CFC had another ad in Eurosport. Looks nice, but says very little about the team/organization
Of course all this is just grist for the rumor mill! Correct us if you know more!

#6 sounds true…#7 sounds really interesting. I’d like to know more about that. Can “you” do some poking around to find out more?
Also, Can you figure out how to import the Chattanooga FC twitter account to feed on the right? I don’t think Molly Cyrus is a CFC fan (is that Miley’s sister?).
I would guess if the MLS is starting to see the NPSL as a good player development source, then the NASL might too.
